The Lady of Frost was a beautiful and enigmatic woman. She had the most beautiful sapphire eyes that could enchant any living creature and bend it to her will. She wore nothing but blue robes and treasures of sapphire that matched her eyes and skin. She had many different powers, all of them great and potent compared to the mortals she watched. She could float over the floor, swiftly covering ground as she bypassed obstacles, and she would glide across the floor as if skating on ice. Those who had heard the stories wondered if she radiated enough arctic presence that she actually did cause the ground to freeze where she moved.
She lived in a mansion of beautifully sculpted ice and crystal, far from the land of mortals. However, sometimes she would leave her home and float on her way to where the humans lived. On cold winter nights, the Lady of Frost would enter a mortal's home, and a chill would follow her in like a loyal pet, causing ice to form on the floor and the windows to gather frost. The glacial wind would always awaken someone from his sleep, and he would see nothing but the woman, floating above the ground and staring down at him with her deep, blue eyes.
That person would be entranced by the Lady of Frost; her beauty was like nothing anyone had ever seen. She would beckon to him, and without even bothering to stand, he would follow her. She would cradle him in her arms like a mother carrying her beloved babe and carry him away to her ice castle to live with her forever.
Morning would come, and the family would wake up with a sleepy yawn, yet the moment they turned to awaken their sleeping family member, they would realize that he had already left to live with the Lady of Frost, and they would mourn loudly with wails and shouts.
The only thing their beloved family member had left them to remember him by was his cold, stiff corpse.
